Future Africa invests $100k–$500k in early-stage African founders solving Africa's biggest problems across talent, infrastructure, markets, or environment. You must be Africa-focused and willing to join a 12-week accelerator cohort.
Future Africa invests $100k–$500k with follow-on capital in early African founders, from as early as an idea, under its T.I.M.E. thesis (Talent, Infrastructure, Markets, Environment). Its Accelerate Africa programme, run with Itana, is a 12-week, 10-founder programme. After it, Future Africa may invest $250k–$500k, subject to due diligence and an investment committee vote.

After you submit through Coach, Future Africa's team assesses your application against the T.I.M.E. criteria and Africa-focus requirement. Selected founders are invited into the Accelerate Africa cohort (10 founders per 12-week cycle). During and after the programme, your startup undergoes due diligence and is evaluated by Future Africa's investment committee; if approved, you may receive $250k–$500k in follow-on investment.
What reviewers look for
Yes. Future Africa explicitly invests from idea stage onwards. You do not need revenue, incorporation, or a team. Bring a clear problem statement, your evidence that it matters, and your plan to solve it.
No. Future Africa invests across Africa. However, your business must be Africa-focused and solve an African problem. If you are based outside Africa, be clear on how you will serve your African market.
The Coach platform allows you to continue building and reapply to a future cohort. There is no stated limit on reapplications.
Applications are rolling, meaning you can apply at any time. Cohorts typically run on a fixed schedule, so check the website for the next cohort start date once you have submitted.
That is fine. Identify the primary pillar your business sits in, but mention secondary alignment if it exists. The key is that you fit at least one clearly.
